The tale of me, Debbie
I am a mother, a wife, creative in every way and a great fan of the big outdoors. After a career on the London events scene (with years of business development projects, menu writing and event design) motherhood forced a bit of a reset! Now, working for myself, I am turning back to the joy that three year old me felt discovering watercolours and painting daffodils, my years of Fine art training at Goldsmiths and my annual make-a-ton of Christmas presents.
I moved from Peckham to Nutfield after years of aspiring to get out of the City rat race! Ditching the Reiss power suit for a Barbour jacket!
Keeping my world small and safe
My countryside relocation is the source of so many of my Stock print inspirations and it’s fuelling my desire to make local connections and be able to have an honest and energetic business meeting over a cup of tea!
Working for myself is allowing me to thrive in the wholesome day-to-day world my family and I adore.
My sustainability journey
Sustainably is at the heart of all my making! I print my A4 illustrations on hemp and cotton sustainable paper, I use recycled card stock for greeting cards and bio-degradable or recycled packaging.
As I have expanded my practice I have never been swayed from this grounding; it means my paper bill is always astronomical but making small steps can make the world more mindful!
